OGDEN FILM FESTIVAL WELCOMES ATTENDEES
June 1, 2017
OGDEN, UT – The Inaugural Ogden Film Festival will welcome attendees starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2 at Peery’s Egyptian Theater. The event will coincide with Ogden City’s First Friday Art Stroll and the Ogden Arts Festival. Tickets can be purchased at the theater’s box office or online at smithtix.com. The price of admission to the festival is only $5 per person.
“We can’t think of a better way to spend one of the first weekends of the summer,” said festival committee member Spencer Bott. “To enjoy a night of great local art in the historic Peery’s Egyptian Theater for only $5 is a deal too good to pass up.”
6:00 PM – Doors open
7:00 PM – Short Film Segment
8:30 PM Intermission – Voting begins for Audience Award
8:45 PM – Short Film Directors Q&A
9:00 PM – ‘Under an Arctic Sky’ by Chris Burkard
The evening will conclude with a special screening of Under an Arctic Sky by Chris Burkard and Sweatpants Media. The film documents six surfers who set sail along the frozen shores of Iceland as the worst storm in twenty-five years arrives. The storm blows through, shuts down the country, and turns the search for waves into a life-threatening prospect. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year.
